Club Info

Skål Club of Brisbane The Skål Club of Brisbane was founded on 15 Oct 1964 and currently has approximately 80 members. Membership is a vital ingredient of the Club with a focus on attracting new members who are employed in the Travel and Tourism industry.  Members are encouraged to introduce colleagues and associates to Skål. There are many Skål members who have benefited from the networking and relationship building opportunities on a Local, National and International level. Skål Brisbane supports the following charities in 2017:

  • Legacy
  • Florimond Volckaert Fund

Membership Requirements To get the most from your membership it is important to be active within the club, by attending at least 7 lunches a year and joining the hard working volunteers who are your committee. You should also note that members are responsible for all late cancellations and no shows lunch costs as well as that of their invited guests.   Twinned Clubs Skål International has a unique program that encourages two clubs in different countries to establish a mutual understanding and friendship. The objective is to exchange personal visits, ideas, projects and culture. On Thursday 11th December, 2014 at a luncheon at Emporium Hotel, Brisbane a delegation from Skal International Suva traveled to Brisbane to participate in a twinning ceremony which sees our two clubs joined in mutual understanding and friendship.
